Some facilities also offer temporary care, which can offer a much-needed break for family members caring for someone who is sick or disabled. When looking at nursing homes like Cascade Terrace, it is important to get clear comparisons. Medicare ratings offer a good starting point -- each nursing home should have a rating on a 5-point scale, which is publicly available (and listed on this site in the "Quick Info" section above). Determining eligibility for Medicaid and Medicare will also be vital, as most facilities offer several different payment options, along with tools such as long-term care insurance, to make paying for future care easier.
